MUNICIPAL WASTE: Video Interview With TONY FORESTA
May 24, 2012Vocalist Tony Foresta of the Virginia crossover thrash metal band MUNICIPAL WASTE was interviewed by the Faygoluvers on March 15 at the Cory Smoot memorial concert at the National Theater in Richmond, Virginia. You can now watch the chat below.
MUNICIPAL WASTE's fifth album, "The Fatal Feast", sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. The band's previous effort, "Massive Aggressive", opened with around 2,100 copies back in September 2009 to debut at No. 10 on the Heatseekers chart.
"The Fatal Feast" was released on April 10 in North America and April 13 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. The cover artwork for the CD was created by Justin Osbourn of Slasher Design and can be seen below.
"The Fatal Feast" features guest appearances by John Connelly (guitarist and vocalist for NUCLEAR ASSAULT),Steve Moore (who plays bass and synthesizers for ZOMBI),and vocalist Tim Barry (ex-AVAIL).
MUNICIPAL WASTE's "Repossession" video was directed by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye, who has previously worked with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOATWHORE, HELLYEAH and SUFFOCATION, among many others.
